( 2AM)

From JO’s sermon tonight

you may have been told no 1000 times, but God has the final say, and He says yes is coming your way, yeses are in your future;  on the way to your yes there will be noes, you have to go through the noes to get to your yeses; the mistake many  people make is they get discouraged by the noes and they quit trying;  you have to go through your closed doors before you get to your open doors; when you come to a no, instead of being discouraged, the right attitude is, I’m one step closer to my yes. if you could see into your future and knew you have to go through 20 noes before you came to your yes, then when you faced a disappointment, a setback, you wouldn’t give up, you’d just  check it off and see it as one no out of the way, now I’m only 19 away from my yes, and you’d be encouraged rather than discouraged;  too many people, because they’ve hit several noes in a row, they’ve lost their passion, their fire, you’ve got to get it down in your spirit, yes is in your future, but it’s all part of God’s plan, the no is simply a test, are you going to get discouraged and settle where you are, or are you going to keep moving forward knowing yeses are coming your way?

God knows what  He’s doing;  you may be in a no right now, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say “I may be in a no, but I’m not going to get discouraged, I’m not going to give up on my dream, I know a yes is coming, favor, healing, promotion are coming.”  I am not going to get stuck in a no, I know yeses are in my future

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)

20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

we should get up every morning and say  “Father, thank you for some yeses today, yes I’m healed, yes I’m free, yes I’m surrounded by your favor”

how many of us give up a few noes away from seeing a dream come to pass?

when God puts a dream in your heart, when He gives a promise on the inside, and deep down you know that you know you’re going to succeed, you realize no means that you’re one step closer to your yes

you could be one yes away from being thrust to a whole new level;  don’t you dare get stuck on a no;  keep believing, dreaming, hoping, taking steps of faith

you can’t let the noes discourage you, don’t let the closed doors convince you to give up, that it’s never going to happen. most likely we won’t have to go through 1000 noes;  are you willing to go through a dozen? if you’re going to keep moving forward, you have to keep this on the forefront of your mind;  yes is in my future

most people won’t go through that many noes to get to their yes, not because they’re not determined enough, but they don’t really  believe that yes is there, they’ve heard the no so long it’s convinced them that’s the way it’s always going to be;  God wouldn’t have put the dream in your heart, given you that promise, if He didn’t already have a plan to bring it to pass

will you stay in faith and not let your noes talk you out of your yeses?  we have to go through the noes;  the noes are a test of our faith, and if we’re going to pass that test we have to set our face like a flint, and say I will not be discouraged by any setbacks, by how long it’s taken;  I’m in it for the long haul, I know yeses are in my future

we’ve hit the wall so many times, pursued a dream but the door closed, we’ve let this stronghold convince us that it’s never going to happen; how do you know that the next time you try is not going to be your yes;  you’ll never know unless you keep trying, dreaming, pursuing what God put in your heart

it may be a small yes, a faint yes, a barely-see-it yes, but when you’re expecting things to change in your favor,  when you know God has yes in your future, it may be a small sign, but by faith you’ll latch onto it, that’s my yes, other people may not see it, that’s ok,  I’m a believer and not a doubter, I know that’s my yes

faith is what causes God to move;  there are yeses in your future waiting for you to come looking for them, not once, not twice, not a few times, keep looking, keep expecting, keep dreaming, you’ve got to have a made-up mind, you’re in it to win it, you’re not going to give up because it didn’t happen on your timetable, you’re not going to settle for 2nd best because a few doors have closed

everything you’ve been through has deposited something on the inside, God doesn’t waste anything, you are not defined by your past, you are prepared by your past, just because you’ve had some noes, that doesn’t disqualify you, yes is still in your future;  when you hit your big yes, all the other noes are going to become insignificant;  don’t go around feeling bad about yourself because you’re not where you want to be, don’t focus on the disappointment, failure, mistake, that was all a part of God’s plan, it’s getting you prepared for your yes;  you keep moving forward, being your best, honoring God, determined, persistent, and God promises you’re going to come into yes

sometimes the people closest to us can be the least encouraging;  God puts dreams in our heart that are bigger than we can accomplish on our own, it’s going to take His hand of favor;  the people close to us, they know us very well, but so often they ‘ll only look at you in your natural ability, they’ll think, that’s too big, you can’t do that;  when God’s put a dream in your heart, don’t let anyone talk you out of it, not even somebody that’s close to you;  there are yeses in your future that you won’t have to pay for, yeses that you don’t earn, you don’t work for, you don’t have to buy it, it’s simply the favor of God, yeses chasing you down, the yes will come looking for you.  many of you have stayed in faith, been determined, pressed through the noes, God is saying, you’re about to come into a yes, something big you’ve been praying about, a dream, a goal, a relationship, is about to show up, new doors are going to open, the right people are going to search you out, favor, healing, promotion, yeses are going to track you down

you may be in a no right now, but don’t get stuck there, keep looking for your yes;   if you’ll go out each day expecting yeses to come your way, you’re going to come into the abundance of what God has in store, promises will come to pass, favor released, new levels of God’s goodness, yeses are coming your way

Being a now person

(1:30 AM)

From JO’s sermon tonight:

it’s easy to put things off; we plan on doing it, we have good intentions, we’re just going to do it later;  the problem with this kind of thinking is one day never comes, there will always be some reason not to do it.  good intentions don’t equal obedience;  the quicker you do what you feel down in your spirit, the happier you’re going to be;  some people go around with this heaviness because they’ve got so much unfinished business;  the longer we put if off, the more difficult it’s going to become.  tomorrow never comes; when God brings something to light, if you’ll deal with it right at the first you’ll have a special grace, you’ll feel God’s enabling power helping you to do it.  God will never ask you to do something and then not give you the ability to do it.  but when we’re passive next month turns into next year, we miss that season of grace.

is there something you’re putting off?  this is a call to action; your destiny stands before you, God has something amazing in your future.

Proverbs 1:32 NIV

For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them

being passive will keep you from God’s best

many times, it’s not  big things that hold us back, it’s small things;  if you’re not faithful with what you have, God won’t entrust you with more.  it’s amazing how much more we’ll enjoy life if we don’t put things off; when we procrastinate it causes us to feel badly about ourselves. God doesn’t reward good intentions, He rewards obedience.  we need to move from planning to doing.  when God asks you to do something that seems hard,  He’ll always give you the grace to do it, and it’s because He has something so much better in your future; but if you just keep putting it off, then you’re putting off what God wants to release back to you.

don’t live waiting for one day, start doing what you know to do today, life is short, time is flying by, you can’t afford to put off what God has put in your heart;  you don’t have time to live with things holding you back, you have seeds of greatness on the inside; today can be your new beginning;  if we’re going to reach our highest potential, we have to be now people, because there are some opportunities that God brings across our path that have a limited window, they’re not always going to be there.

Joel 3:9 KJB

… wake up the mighty men…

there is an enemy of your soul, one of his main tools is procrastination;  if he can’t deceive you into getting totally off-course, he’ll use something much more subtle, he’ll try to get you to put it off, to be passive, to have an “I’ll do it later” attitude:

Hebrews 3:7-8 NIV

7 So, as the Holy Spirit says:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts

Psalm 95:7-8 (NIV)

7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
8 “Do not harden your hearts

when you hear God speaking to you, be a now person;  today I’m going to respond, make changes, come up higher;  your act of obedience is what triggers God’s supernatural favor;  when we put things off, we’re not stopping God’s plan, we’re stopping the fullness of what God has in store us; when you walk in God’s ways, He will take you places that you’ve never dreamed of, God will help you  to accomplish what you could not accomplish on your own; some of you are allowing something small to keep you from God’s best;   don’t miss your season

if you over-analyze your situation, you think about all the what-ifs, you try to get approval from all your family and friends, you’ll never move off of dead center;  when God puts something in your heart, and deep down you know it’s a destiny moment, it’s a window of opportunity, you don’t need 10 confirmations, 3 angels to appear, lightning to strike next door, go in at once.  I’m not going to argue with God, I’m going to do what He’s asking me to do

Romans 13:11 ERV

And this, knowing the season, that now it is high time for you to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed.

some of you have let life push you down, you’re not pursuing what God has put in your heart, you’ve become passive, but God is saying, it’s high time to wake up;  it’s incredibly important, you are  coming into a destiny moment, you’re sitting on the launching pad, God is about to thrust you to a new level, now is not the time to be passive, sloppy, undisciplined;  now more than ever is the time to get focused , take care of business, don’t put things off;  your salvation is nearer than it’s ever been;  you’re closer to seeing that dream come to pass than you’ve ever been;  you’re coming into the final stretch; that healing, breakthrough, promotion, provision is already headed your way, you may not be able to see it, don’t worry about it, it can see you, your victory is right around the corner.  it’s our high time to do what God is asking us to do;  we have to be in position to receive what God has in store

making excuses keeps us from our miracle;  the right attitude is, it’s my high time, I’m close to my healing, my breakthrough, that’s what it  means to wake up out of your sleep, you know there are destiny moments in front of you, you’re on the lookout, you’re not going to miss your season

when we don’t do what God’s asking us to do:

Haggai 1:6 (AMP)

You have sown much, but you have reaped little; you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you do not have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it.

Haggai 1:7 (AMP)

Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared.

when we put things off, it’s like we’re trying to fill up a bag that has holes in it;  we can’t seem to get ahead;  there’s always something holding us back;  we need to consider our ways;  if you’re not careful, one day can turn into one year can turn into a lifetime;  what could be worse than to come to the end of our life and have all these regrets?  it’s not too late to get started, you can still become everything God’s created you to be, don’t make excuses, don’t wait for a more convenient time

Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT)

If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.

make a decision to just do it; be a now person, your destiny is calling out

have you made good on the promise that you made God?  if not, don’t put it off any longer.   it’s not too late to forgive, to pursue a dream; God wouldn’t have allowed you to hear this message unless He had another window of opportunity in front of you.  this is your high time; you are closer to your new beginning than you realize;  that dream, that promise, is within reach;  you may have put it off 18 years, but God is not mad at you, He’s not holding that against you; if you’ll make good on the promise that you made God, you will step into a life that’s more rewarding, more fulfilling than you ever even dreamed of;  have you made a promise to God, your parents, or yourself?  make good on your promise.

our attitude should be, I’m not going to spend one more night putting up with things that are not God’s best, today I’m going to get my life straightened out, today I’m going to take a step of faith;  your time is too valuable, your destiny too great, to waste a single moment;  shake off being passive, complacent, rise up with this new boldness; we’re going to be “let us go in at once” people;  we’re not going to miss our season, we’re going to be people of action;  think of at least one area that you’ve been procrastinating in;  make a decision that you’re going to start working on it today; this is your high time, you are close to seeing that promise come to pass;  if you’ll be a now person and be quick to do what God is asking you to do;  healing, promotion, favor, breakthroughs are coming, you’re going to live the abundant life that God has in store.

From JO’s sermon tonight:

when we face difficulties, it’s easy to become ingrown, to where all we think about is my problem, illness, hurt, bills, loneliness;  as long as we’re only focused on ourselves, we’ll get stuck where we are;  in our time of need, we have to learn to sow a seed;  the way to get what you want is by giving away what you need; if you need happiness, don’t sit around in self-pity, go out and make somebody else happy;  God will use that seed to bring you happiness.  this goes against human nature, but when God sees you getting outside of yourself, when He sees you being good to somebody even though you’re struggling, that’s the seed God will use to bring a harvest back into your own life.

when you reach out to others, the seed you sow will come back to you

sometimes you can’t solve your own problem, but you can solve somebody else’s problem;  God will enable you to help others, and if you’ll sow a seed and help others, that’s what’s going to bring your own harvest;  we pray for God to answer a prayer, but many times God doesn’t send the answer were asking for, He’ll send a need, and in that need is the seed that holds the answer;  what God is asking you to do, the people He has in your life, they hold the seed to your prayer being answered;  if you reach out to them, God will bring your own harvest

when you reach out and give of your time, energy, pray for people, encourage someone, then that seed that holds your answer is being watered, it’s taking root

Psalm 37:3

Trust in the Lord and do good

it’s not enough to just trust in the Lord, you’ve gotta move on to step 2, be good to somebody;  as you help others, God will help you;   some of you would see a prayer be answered, see a situation turn around, if you’d just take time to be good to somebody;  you’ve gotta sow a seed in your time of need

Job 42:10 (NIV)

After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.

you can’t have a harvest without sowing a seed;  when you get outside of yourself;  instead of just looking for a miracle, when you become somebody’s miracle;  when you not only trust God but you do good, that’s when God will begin to answer those prayers;  it’s so easy to become consumed by our problem, finances, health, sometimes if you would stop praying for yourself so much and start praying for somebody else with that same passion and intensity, then God would answer your own prayers

It’s fine to pray for yourself, but keep it in perspective;  God already knows what we need;  we’re spending our time telling God what we need, while God is waiting for us to go out and sow a seed

when you’re in a time of need, don’t get depressed, sow a seed, go out and be good to somebody

many times the answer to our own prayers comes from helping somebody else;  you being good to them can be the seed God uses to bring your own dreams to pass

if you lost your joy, go out and help somebody else get their joy back;  you may have had a bad break, don’t sit around feeling sorry for yourself, reach out to somebody else

Proverbs 11:25

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

when you go through a disappointment, you’re hurting, you’re tempted to live in self-pity, get your mind off yourself, your problems, heartache, loss, and go be good to someone else;  when you reach out to others, healing comes, joy comes, refreshing comes, a new season will come

many times the answer to your prayer will come through helping somebody else;  it may be difficult, life is not always fair;  when you go through a disappointment, instead of feeling sorry for yourself, waiting for everybody to cheer you up, you’ve gotta dig your heels in and say no, God didn’t bring me this far to leave me, I’m not gonna live my life depressed, I’m gonna go out and be good to somebody else

Isaiah 58:7-9

7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

God is saying “when you meet other people’s needs, I will always meet your own needs”

God wants to use what you’ve been through to help other people get through it;   out of your pain can come your purpose;  one of the most powerful things you can do when you’re hurting is to go out and be good to somebody else;  your new beginning, your next season, is connected to you helping others; as you refresh others, God will refresh you;   instead of living need minded, we should live seed minded;  when we have a need, not “who can help me?,” turn it around, “I’m in need, now where is a seed I can sow, who can I be good to, who can I bless, encourage, cheer up?” the way to get what you want is by giving away what you need;  some people are waiting for their ship to come in, the problem is they haven’t sent their ship out;  when you give happiness, favor, you’ll receive happiness, favor;  it’s not enough to just trust God, let’s move on to step 2 and be good to somebody;  if you’ll learn to sow a seed in your time of need, God promises your light will break forth like the dawn;  your healing will come, your problem will turn around, your relationship will be restored, and your dreams will come to pass

From JO’s sermon tonight:

we all go through disappointments and have unfair things that happen;  the mistake many people make is to get stuck where they are, become bitter and negative and give up on their dreams.  God never ends in a negative; if you’ll keep moving forward with your life, God promises that he’ll bring you to a flourishing finish.

Philippians 1:6

6 There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.  ***

in your future God has a victorious finish.  that setback, disappointment, betrayal, God knows how to turn it around and cause it to work for you.   when you’re in difficult times, don’t settle where you are, don’t put your roots down and think that it’s never going to change. for every setback God’s already lined up a comeback, for every injustice, vindication, for every disappointment, restoration, new beginnings

2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)

Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the fragrance of his knowledge by us in every place.

as believers this is the promise God makes to us:  you may go through disappointments, at times it seems like you’re far behind, like it’s never going to work out;   you have to remind yourself, I’m in a fixed fight, I already know the outcome, God never ends in defeat, when it’s all said and done I’m the victor not the victim, I’m going to come out of this setback promoted, increased, healthier, to a flourishing finish

dale bronner says;  God always ends in “all is well,”  so if all is not well that simply means it’s not the end;  don’t quit believing, victory is in front of you.  Jehova Jireh the Lord your provider has breakthroughs coming your way.  in the end God promises all will be well.  God didn’t say most of the time I’ll cause you to triumph, He said I’ll always cause you to triumph.  you may go through difficulties, unfair situations, betrayals, but that’s the way you need to see it, you’re going through, you’re not staying there, it’s not permanent, defeat is not your normal state, if all is not well in your life that simply means you haven’t made it to your new destination; if you’ll keep moving forward you’ll come into a new season of victory, blessing, favor

if you’ll stay in faith God will never let the enemy have the last laugh;  God promises:

Psalm 23:5 (NIV)

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies

the people that did you wrong, one day they’ll see you blessed, prosperous, vindicated, happy, fulfilled… God will make sure you get the honor and respect you deserve. your life is not going to end on a negative.

God’s dream is to see you flourish, to come out of a setback stronger, increased, better, promoted.  God has the right people lined up for you, He’s not planning on you living depressed, defeated, betrayed, disappointed, His plan is to bring you out with a flourishing finish

when it looks dark, when you don’t see how you’ll ever be happy, it doesn’t look like there’s a way, God has a way;  if you will stay in faith, God will not let the enemy have the last laugh, YOU will have the last laugh.  don’t lose your passion for life, don’t believe the thoughts that are telling you, never going to get any better, God has the final say, and He’s saying your life is not going to end on a negative,  I’m bringing you to a flourishing finish

it may get worse before it gets better;  that’s a sign the enemy is taking his best shot;  his best will never be enough, the forces that are for you are greater than the forces that are against you.  we are called to fight the good fight of faith; the reason it’s the good fight  is because we always win.  it may not happen on our timetable or the way we had planned out, but God is a faithful God;  if you will believe, your life will not end on a negative. the very thing the enemy tries to destroy you with, God can turn it around and use that to help you bless other people.

sometimes you have to say all is well before everything will be well;  you’ve got to speak it by faith.  when you’re in difficult times, don’t call yourself what you are, call yourself the way you want to  be;  by faith, call it well, call your future bright, call yourself blessed

even when we bring trouble on ourselves, even when it’s our fault, God is so merciful, if you’ll receive his forgiveness, not go around guilty, condemned, beating yourself up, God says I’ll still bring you to a flourishing finish

God will always give you another chance. you may have made 1000 mistakes, but God does not want your life to end on a negative

the spirit of the Lord is going to come on you another time; you have to do your part;  shake off the blame, quit beating yourself up, you can’t do anything about the past but you can do something about your future.  put your shoulders back, hold your head up high, say “God, I may have made alot of mistakes, but I’m not going to go around guilty and condemned, I believe my end is going to be better than my beginning, I believe the rest of my life is going to be the best of my life”

we’re in a fixed fight;  God has already promised us the victory;  if all is not well in your life, that simply means it’s not the end;  don’t get discouraged, God is still working,  shake off the defeat, discouragement, self-pity, it may not have been fair, but don’t get stuck on that page, if you’ll keep moving forward you’ll come into a chapter of victory, restoration, new beginnings, no matter what comes your way, your life is not going to end on a negative.  God is going to restore what’s been stolen, repair what’s been broken, take every setback and turn it into a setup for a greater comeback.  God is going to bring you out to a flourishing finish.

from the ad afterwards:

you don’t have to seek blessings;  seek God and the blessings will follow

The concept, however, is still totally valid where we are concerned in the present day.
